We start the new year with great prospects for our photonics students. The demand for technologists with specialized knowledge in lasers, optics, and photonics is unprecedented. All of the LASER-TEC college members report that industry requests for entry-level technicians are much higher than the present output of our programs. That is a great way to start the new year; however, we need to double our efforts to increase the number of students entering our programs to satisfy industry demand. When you plan your outreach events, please visit our resources webpage which offers a plethora of free promotional material.
