LASER-TEC will support 10 OPCN faculty members who would like to attend the Education and Training in Optics and Photonics, ETOP 2023. This international conference is an excellent professional development opportunity to learn and share best practices in teaching optics and photonics.

This conference is hosted around the world every two years. This year, ETOP 2023 will be hosted by UCF CREOL in Cocoa Beach, Florida, on May 15^th -18^th, 2023.   LASER-TEC will award stipends at the following rates:

• $1,700 for faculty from FL
• $2,200 for faculty from GA, SC, NC, AL, TN, MS, LA, AR
• $2,700 for faculty from all other states

Preference will be given to OPCN faculty who don’t have active grant support at their institution.  

The stipends will be paid immediately following the conference. Faculty will be responsible for all arrangements associated with the conference attendance: registration, lodging, airfare, and ground transportation.
