Over fifty companies across the Nation have hired our graduates. These companies include local cities, municipalities, hospitals, industry leaders such as Harris Corporation, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, CREE, Sumitomo Electric Lightwave Corporation, MAZAK, and research facilities such as Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Florida Atlantic University, and many others. Our graduates also support smaller, family-owned companies, such as PCS Fiber, Awareness Technology, Gerelcom, Kopp Development, and many others.

LASER-TEC offers a Career Preparedness Workshop for all of our partner and OPCN colleges. This workshop will help students and graduates to:
- Connect what they learned in their photonics program to what an employer needs
- Understand what to expect when searching for employment
- Focus on areas that need to be improved
- Gain confidence
Many of our graduates found gainful employment with excellent opportunities before they even graduated from college. This opened many new doors for their professional and personal growth, provided financial stability, and got them on a career path in the fast-growing, engaging, and multidisciplinary field. There are over 2,500 companies in the U.S. that hire LOPFO technicians.
LASER-TEC publishes a monthly newsletter called the Optics and Photonics Education News (OPEN) where we share the latest news and updates in curriculum materials, resources, events, jobs for graduating students, as well as information related to our partner colleges and members of the laser, optics, photonics, and fiber optics industry network.
