The SPIE Defense and Commercial Sensing Conference took place in Orlando earlier this month. The common theme among laser-photonics industry representatives was the need for more technicians to work for research labs, companies building laser/photonics systems, and companies doing field service work. Encourage your students to reach out to hiring managers who are eager to come to your college and recruit new technical talent.
