Description

This module is one of four pertaining to manufacturing as a photonics-enabled technology. The modules pertaining to each technology can be used as a unit or independently, as long as
prerequisites have been met.

In this module you will study the use of interferometric techniques for measurement and control of the motion of machine tools used to manufacture products. This module also describes holographic methods for detecting defects in manufactured products, for analysis of strain and for analyzing vibration of surfaces, in general describing measurements in industry that would be difficult to perform by other means.
